One-day capacity building training for persons with disabilities on prevention of Gender-Based violence

16 days of activism #Day8 FAECARE Foundation @faecare , AMACLARE Connect & Development Initiative @amaclare_ JONAPWD-Rivers Chapter supported by Partnerships for Initiatives in the Niger Delta (PIND) @pindfoundation carried out a One-day capacity building training for persons with disabilities on prevention of Gender-Based violence held on Saturday the 2nd of December with a total of 44 participants (of which 24 were Persons with Disabilities) as part of the 16 Days Activism against GBV program.
As part of the training sessions a call to take the initiative and not keep silence was made to all present, especially women and girls with disability. Detailing on what we can do in the face of violence the call was to take initiative to SPEAK OUT.
In the spirit of inclusivity participants were taught not just to say it, but to say is in Sign Language.
In the case of gender-based violence Silence is not golden women and girls with disabilities are called all over the world and Rivers State to SPEAK OUT.
