ABOUT FREKY ANDREW-ESSIEN CARE FOUNDATION (FAECARE FOUNDATION)
Freky Andrew-Essien Care Foundation (FAECARE Foundation) is an organization with a vision to add value to the lives of target vulnerable groups in our society/communities including persons with disabilities through a variety of organization led programs and support services. For over eleven (11) years we have empowered persons with disabilities and enhanced social inclusion and advocacy for better policies.
BACKGROUND : Faecare Foundation is organizing a project aimed at promoting disability rights and inclusion in suburban and rural areas of Rivers State. The Disability Rights Initiative Project: Rural Rivers (DRIP:RR).
PROJECT VOLUNTEER ENGAGEMENT OBJECTIVE: To volunteer on this FAECARE Project throughout the duration of the project provides support in activities aimed at achieving the objectives of the project.
SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITIES OF PROJECT VOLUNTEER
• Project Volunteer will attend trainings and project activities
• Master and effectively use tools trained on, to carry out responsibilities
• Using data tools for accessibility audit, do data collection in the field on project research as directed by the Technical Assistant
• Provide ongoing support in other Project activities that will ensure success of the Project (as assigned and required)
– Provide ongoing support to Disability Peer Mentor Activities
• Provide support in all aspects and locations of this project’s activities
A successful volunteer on this project will
• Provide support in all aspects of this project’s activities
• Have a keen interest to work with Persons with Disabilities
• Have the ability to engage with the different clusters of disabilities
• Have some volunteer experience in any setting
• Be willing to work within and outside office settings
• Be conversant with social media and digital tools
MANAGEMENT: The Project volunteer will work hand in hand with the FAECARE Project Team on project activities. The Project volunteer however will report directly to the Executive Director, who serves as Project Lead on this project and where not available can get clearance from Project Team.
REMUNERATION: Freky Andrew-Essien Care Foundation (FAECARE Foundation), will provide Project Volunteers receive stipends for activities they participate or support on this Project.
CONFIDENTIALITY STATEMENT: All data and information received from FAECARE Foundation for the purpose of this assignment are to be treated confidentially and are only to be used in connection with the execution of these Terms of Reference. All intellectual property rights arising from the execution of these Terms of Reference are assigned to FAECARE Foundation. Do not reproduce, distribute or make any other use. The contents of written materials obtained and used in this assignment may not be disclosed to any third parties without the expressed advance written authorization of FAECARE Foundation.
